How does Hypnotherapy work?

Solution focused Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process and it s designed to reduce anxiety, calm the mind and support you. It use’s a combination of cutting edge modern techniques to aid with recovery from a variety of different concerns. Using Psychotherapy techniques, trance and the best techniques from CBT and NLP It enables the client to bring about the changes required to positively transform their lives and leaves them with the ability to maintain those changes. Being solution focused there is no there is no need to delve in to the problem for Hypnotherapy to be successful. Sessions are informative, relaxing and perfectly balanced to  induce powerful change within clients.

What happens during a Hypnotherapy session?

Each session is far more than just hypnosis. We begin by exploring the positive things that have happened over the last week which, establishing positive thought patterns which helps you cope with life in between sessions. We’ll explore how these positive things makes you feel, helping you visualise small steps towards your new goals which then become more achievable. Discussions involving some solution focused questions and other techniques will then help you to consider and refine your solutions that can help you to move forward in your life. Depending on your circumstances, these discussions may also involve other elements of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) as appropriate.

After this clients  are guided through a process to induce a trance-like state that helps them focus their minds, respond more readily to suggestions, and become deeply relaxed. Hypnotherapy utilizes the heightened awareness of the hypnotic state to help you focus on a problem more deeply

You’re fully in control when under hypnosis and if necessary can take yourself out of the hypnotic state. The trance-like state you enter may appear similar to sleep in many ways, but you’re fully aware of what’s going on. While you’re in this trance-like state, your therapist will make guided suggestions designed to help you achieve your therapeutic goals. Because you’re in a heightened state of focus, you may be more open to proposals or advice that, in your normal mental state, you might ignore or brush off.

When the session is complete, your therapist will wake you from the trance-like state.
